A safe and satisfying birth is every woman's right. It is perfectly responsible for a normal, healthy woman to give birth at home. Mutual responsibility for health care by both mother and midwife is the key to a positive experience. It is important to recognize that sometimes pregnancies fail, and not all problems are preventable or avoidable. There is growth, however, in all of life's challenges. We are all eternal students of birth.
